………and may have also told you, that I am to have an ‘Open Studio’ on Friday 7th December 2013. (This is part of my master plan, ‘Open Studio’, first Friday of every month, no hard sell, just get together with friends over tea and cake for stimulating dialogue.) I look forward to it and am busy sprucing up and baking as you read……..
But then an even wiser bird told me, (it being Christmas coming and all), that it is all very well being sociable but don’t forget about putting bread on the table …… so perhaps open on a Saturday too!
So here we have it…
OPEN STUDIO
Saturday 1st December, 11am – 4pm AND
Friday 7th December 11am – 4pm.
And if the sun shines in between those times well I might just open in between times too. Just look out for the ‘A’ board at my gate which will look like this….
Even more exciting, there will be contributions from other friends as well. Painter, Chris Rigby has something up his sleeve that involves resin and beasties…. Intrigued? Me too, but if I told you anymore I would have to kill you. Gill Ferguson, textile artist, will be showing some tactile and beautiful wares. Painter, Susan Fletcher has promised to bring along some of her popular local Christmas cards (but she too may have a surprise up her sleeve). And finally, have I told you about my other famous neighbour, Lynn Whelon, author of ‘The Chicken Run’. Well It’s her first novel and its fab. Full of drama, murder, brit’ humour, history, love and laughs and she will be there, with signed gift wrapped copies. What more could you ask for!
