‘Tilly’ is my friends bouncy wire haired pointer. She is just gorgeous, with long legs and eyebrows to die for, (or perhaps not, unless you are of course, a wire haired pointer!…. Dogs and their owners and all that, I keep warning Gill).

Anyway tis the hubby’s birthday and Gill wanted Tilly immortalising in glass. So here she is in all her comical beauty. I worked from a close up photo of her face, tweaked the angle a bit to add to the comedy, angular framing and a driftwood base and job’s done. I used a variety of amber and streaky glasses to capture her colouring and enhanced it further by using silver leaf to pick out her hairs.

She was great fun……..makes you smile doesn’t she!

……And for a taste of something different, a couple of other recent commissions.

‘Straight from the horses mouth’…

..and a pretty little butterfly, loosely based on a leopard lacewing….

winging its way to Spain!

This dog is wonderful – I’m too lazy to knock on your door to tell you! Well done. If you need any help doing the ‘shore shoot’ let me know!
