Frolic’ing Frith!

Here is how it started…..

(Pamela)
“Hi Debbie,
My mom recently had one of your lovely robins bought her for Christmas…….”

“….Thank you for your email. I have a lovely border collie called Frith. I looked at your gallery and love the one you have done of Tilly and how it is framed in driftwood in such an original way. I have a special birthday this month and would love something similar with maybe a swallow incorporated?…”

“…Frith is quite a character and I love all garden birds but when the swallows return to us in Spring it’s always been a special moment”

(Debbie)
I am probably shying away from the traditional pet portrait tableau and am thinking more of creating a picture. How would you feel about Frith running across the skyline, strong black and white silhouette, perhaps a tree, and the swallows swirling around in the sky?

“P.S. Any chance snowdrops could be in there somewhere or am I asking the impossible.”

(Nothing is impossible!!)

“Absolutely love the draft sketch you emailed. The whole idea is spot on. It incorporates everything we wanted and more…..
I was like a little child when I saw your email as wasn’t expecting anything until next week.”

…Just realised, am applying a bit of nature’s license as swallows don’t tend to be around when the snowdrops are out!!……..I’m happy if you are.

“I’m fine with that!! It will make it a bit unique.”

Well, here goes then.
….. Frith and the swallows.

Happy Birthday Pamela!
