Hello there, just back from a scorchio break in the mountains of the Costa Blanca….so that must be what explains my in-activity??!!
In-activity? – no way! Even though the beach-combing wasn’t up to the standard I am used to in Pembrokeshire I still managed to salvage one ot two intersting bits….these wooly balls provided a relaxing activity to do in the shade and a break from my otherwise constant search for water to dive in to. (Finn enjoyed juggling with them too!)
And because I have been in scorchio Spain I haven’t got any new things to show you…….. so I thought I should show you my ‘hot pink’ work that I exhibited at the Art Trail back in June. (I saw flamingo’s in the salt flats at Calpe – not quite as pink as mine!! – not enough shrimp perhaps??!!))
This wee pink Quirky Bird can be seen in the Green Door ‘Summer Exhibition’ at Farfield Mill, Sedbergh.
The painted ‘Houses on the Quay’ will be heading overseas soon. (Will definitley be making more of these…..it is so satisfying scratching away at the paint.)
But it is now back to the drawing board for me, designing up my next couple of commissions…a sylvan scene and a country farmyard with more belted-galloways and perhaps even a saddleback pig! (Should be interesting).
Just ever so slightly distracted by my newest house visitor though…my sisters 9 month old springer spaniel, Pepper!
